Casa de los Dulces Sueños History

Mr. Agustin Reynoso brought this XVII-century house back to life. It was built by command of Fray Bartolome de las Casas, who eventually gives name to the street on which it is located.
This beautiful adobe and quarry home lays a few meters away from the magnificent San Francisco church in the historical center of Morelia. This house has been remodeled and uplifted with a back patio respecting its original antique design.

Today it is recognized as a historical monument and it still bears a quarry-made number two, which indicates that it was the second property built on Bartolome de las Casas street.

Sweet Dreams House Hotel

Its thick quarry and adobe walls have been looking magnificent for more than 300 years. Its ceiling is supported with beams and lumber. Its main entrance and three balconies can be seen from the street; they are framed in hand-carved quarry just like inside the main patio which still preserves its original fountain and antique decoration style.

The family oldest daughter, Luz Maria Cortes Reynoso, installed the first Nobel School in this building. With the assistance of her younger sister Carmelita, they both very fond of the Catholic Church, she would train young kids in the Catholic doctrine so they were able to receive their First Communion. Those who knew the Reynoso family can confirm the respect, love and appraisal they earned in this beautiful city of Morelia.
Currently, Mansion San Francisco Hotel is considered "Heritage of Humanity" by UNESCO. It gives people the opportunity to stay in its nine beautiful rooms as well as the chance to feel and breathe its own past.
